How Would You Like to be Interviewed?
Posted by Belle on 04 Jun 2007 at 09:27 pm | Tagged as: meme, reflections
Just for fun, I asked Rachel (sorry, don’t know how to link the blog yet, str, help please!) to interview me with 5 questions.
- Name one of life’s simple treasures: My garden is one of my life’s simple treasures. I enjoy going to the garden the moment I get home from work and get my hands dirty instead of wearing gloves. It sweeps my tiredness away and it revitalizes me.
- Fill in the blank: Happiness is a matter of: Choice. Happiness is in our hands. We have total control of it. When we wake up in the morning, we have a choice of whether to be miserable at work or to be nice and happy. Of course, I choose the latter. We only live once, why mope about something we can’t do anything about.
- Do you believe in miracles? If you do, have you personally experienced a miracle (big or small) that you would like to share? On our trip to the Philippines four years ago, I did something that I wouldn’t normally do. I packed the small green flotation for the first time. Had my husband known that I stuffed it in our suitcase, he would have asked me to leave it home. Little did I know that the flotation would save him from drowning. Now, he wants me to get rid of it.
- Share a random pet peeve: It grosses me out when I see someone picking his nose in public and then he/she fork it over…eeekkk!! What a turn off!!
- Name something that gives you a natural high: Excitement definitely gives me a natural high. When I took the test in the postal service 7 years ago, I wasn’t expecting a good score because it was a hard one. Lo and behold, I got a 100%. My husband said it was amazing the fact that I was having a lot of trouble with my memory. I had never been excited like that. I proved that I wasn’t so stupid after all.

hi tita belle,
being a social researcher, im always the interviewer never the interviewee… i guess it’s fun to answer 5 questions from you. pls interview me… have a nice day.
i remember having read to story about your husband. it was indeed a miracle.
and everyday is a miracle, don’t you think so, Belle?
i do love your garden, your orchard, the birds, the flowers.
i also have a little garden in front of my house, but sadly i can no longer tend it, at least right now while i am busy with a lot of things. but seeing a garden that is flourishing (yours at least) is really a sight to behold.
Hi Belle. Thanks for sharing your wonderful answers to the interview. I’ve seen many photos of your beautiful garden. You are blessed with a green thumb.
What a positive outlook about happiness. I agree, happiness is a matter of attitude.
I’m sure someone above have whispered to your subconscious to bring the flotation. God is indeed kind.
I feel the same way about your pet peeve.
Oh yes, excitement is uplifting to the spirit.
OMG I got goosebumps after reading #3…
Belle, I definitely want to have a garden but I can’t seem to grow plants, only weeds. As of now, the weeds are uncontrollable, especially since the rains are here to stay for a few months.
Congratulations on your 100%!
hi belle, i do envy you with your beautiful garden. unfortunately i don’t have a green thumb =P regarding happiness, i do believe it’s a matter of choice. ether to see the glass half empty or half full, right?
a miracle indeed, belle. nakakatakot naman what happened, good thing you did bring the flotation device. i hope i get to read the whole story behind that.
to link an address (for most of the blog programs)
1. just highlight the word or name in your post that would represent the link
2.press the botton on the top that looks like a globe with chains on it (once you have an arrow on top of that, the word “link” will show.
3.then just type the web/link address
try to experiment on it and see if it works =) i hope this helps
Belle, you have a blessed life - your family, your garden…
Okay, I have already asked AnnaManila to interview me, but I want you to interview me too. I’m sure both your and Anna’s questions are interesting to answer.
Naku, excited na ako. … hahaha!
verns, thanks for being such a sport. good answers to my questions except you didn’t answer the #2 question which is my favorite..hehe.
chesca, you can find the story of the miracle if you scroll down and look for “The Beauty and the Beast” post. thanks for compliments!
JoyJoy, aha, now, you get to experience the other way around. have fun answering my questions. it will help me get to know you better.
dine, yes, that is the one that i was referring to. indeed, everyday is a miracle. garden is one of life’s treasures.
Zherwin, you have a garde, too. just like a gf, garden needs TLC, too, otherwise it will slowly wilt away.
Rach, thanks for formulating good questions. i had fun answering them.
Auee, i don’t know if you read the story i posted in my blog that tells more about this near drowning experience. the title is “The Beauty and the Beast.”
Julie, you are lucky, you don’t have shortage of rain there…here, we are about ready to do the pow wow asking for rain. thanks, i couldn’t believe i scored that high!
smarie, scroll down the blog entries and look for “Beauty and the Beast.” and thanks for the step by step instructions on linking..that was nice of you. i truly appreciate it. see if i can do it.
Rhodora, thanks! oh, thanks for tagging along. i will think of a good one for you…we’ll let you know when i am ready.
Re: your pet peeve. When I was still commuting to work, back when I was working at the office, there’s this lady on my bus who would pick her nose, and as you said it would fork it over. Eeww. Gross. And I get to be on the bus with her every morning. I think she has some loose screws, because she acts like a child.
Agree with you on #2. Happiness is indeed a matter of choice. I don’t understand why some people choose to be miserable.
hi belle! very nice view on happiness. i wish some people thought that way, then the world will be so much better!
