Happy Birthday, Lexi!

Look what we had to go through yesterday just so we could be with our daughter, Lexi, on her 19th birthday.
Pretty nasty huh? We were not aware of such road condition until we were mid-way through. Weather forecast called for rain and wind so my husband and I took a chance just for the love of a daughter. We thought we were not going to make it back. Although, if push comes to shove, we can always stay overnight in Lexi’s dorm because she has an extra bed.
My husband couldn’t hold still while we were shopping for clothes. He wanted to head back home before the snow turned into ice. He knows how treacherous it is to drive on an icy road. We left Flagstaff at 5 PM and drove home via a different route - a much longer but safer route. We didn’t get home until 7:30 PM. We were so exhausted!
The birthday girl, Lexi (wearing red blouse) and her friend on our way to an early dinner.
Anyway, the following morning I woke up to a big surprise when I looked through the window. The snow must have followed us all the way home. And I had to go to work and be on the road for at least 6 hours. Ahhh, this is what I call the downside of my job. Lucky were those who got to stay indoor and sipped a tea by a cozy fireplace.

Belated Happy Birthday to Lexi. That must have been quite a drive. I’m glad you got to your location and back home safely.
Glad hubby and you made it home safe and sound, Belle. Happy Belated Birthday to sweet girl, Lexie. It looks like you have been hit by the global cooling all over North America. Take good care of yourself.
Belated Happy Birthday Gorgeous Lexie. Take extra care always Tita Belle. Mwah!
Hi Bella,
I’m glad you posted those photos - it’s hard for me to believe it could look so gloomy there! We’ve had hardly any snow here this winter - that’s good because I can never get up the driveway on the snow and ice.
All best,
P
wow that looks really cool i wish i could be there
Oh, Belle, Lake Mary Road seems so sad, so white and so cold. Am i glad you were able to go back even if it means going the long way.
My, and who would have thought it snows that hard in your place. Is that a usual winter occurrence?
Be safe,Belle.
Lexi, belated Happy Birthday and stay as gorgeous as ever
Picture-perfect snow, though of course I’m in the comfort of my home next to the heater. Plus London doesn’t get snow that bad anymore. In fact sabik ang mga tao dito sa snow… This year though mukhang walang chance that it ever will.
Belated happy bday to your daughter!
Hi Belle.
Awwww you are great parents! But that weather is really scary ha…I can only imagine the freezing cold.
Belated Happy Birthday to Lexi! Glad to know you arrived home safe and sound.
I’m back just to let you know I tagged you. I know you’re busy, you may do it whenever you have free time. No rush.
Have a wonderful week ahead.
Belated Happy B to LEXIE.
Looking at the snow, I think I’d settle myself in bed than be outside. How can I go out shopping with that thick of snow even if I’m driving? Wag na lang…
The things we do for the love of our children huh? Belated happy bday to your lovely and talented daughter.
I’m sorry that you’ve been having some nasty weather. We’ve been lucky so far.
Stay safe!
