I wish you were my kapitbahay, Belle, could share the leftover crayfish. I just know I'd love it too, being a gumbo-gambas fanatic. Arizona seems to be a wonderful place to be, outside the Philippines. :)

elyani, yes, he is the king of crayfish. it is not only his table cloth that has crayfish design, the napkins have it too.

kk, the way they arranged the crayfish on a serving plate was fascinating. he definitely deserved a 10 for presentation.

noemi, i can easily eat more than 30, too, but that night, i didn't quite do as good. bread and crackers filled me up.

pining, crayfish are a warm water crustacean. they taste similar to shrimps, just to give you an idea.

nursye, you have relatives in whidbey island? used to live in WA ten years ago and seafood was in abundance. i love catching those dungeness crabs, chucking oysters, and digging clams.

old bay seasoning ba ang sekreto in cooking seafood? thanks amiga!

Zherwin, i haven't tried adding sprite in steaming seafood but i have added it in my barbecue marinade, which seems to help tenderize the meat.

oyster sauce and butter for dipping sauce? will try that next time.

eric, yup, he is such a nice neighbor. and crayfish once a year surely are a good treat!

rach, yes, the tablecloth and napkin have crayfish design on it. they even decorated his house with huge dried crayfish.

k, crayfish go well with beer but since i was not a beer drinker, i settled for a bit of wine and lots of water.

Yep, as much as they are so good, you sure do get tired of eating them. I know they freeze very well so you can have them later on again. That is what I do with my shrimps and other sea food that I bring home from visiting my cousins in Wimby Island in Washington.

Amiga, look up in the spices section a can of OLD BAY SEASONING. This is what I use for steaming shrimps and crabs... so tasty!!! There's a direction in the back...
