anna, gracias! know what, i had to take a refresher course in spanish for 4 semesters in our local college. it comes in handy especially when dealing with our amigos who barely talk english and they are everywhere.

uncampy looking stove? it is just a propane stove that is designed for camping. it is light, it folds in and it works really great.

I heard that in the USA, Spanish is considered the second language. So your hablo espanol must be very very handy.

indeed, it is fun traveling even without spending a fortune. the big cost is gasoline and a commercial camping site now and then when we need to use the facilities but lots of time, we just camp anywhere that looks safe, quiet, and secluded.

we have a lot of bikol words that are spanish like bintana, silya, kada, seboyas, kabayo, etc.

Julie, my husband and I always look forward for my long weekend at work. it is fun and we get to eat ice cream in between our trip…ooops we shouldn’t actually. i know what you mean about leaving the house empty in the phil. here, we don’t have to worry about that…thank goodness.

And your Spanish impressed me. I could speak modest Spanish way back in college because our instructor forced us to, but after graduation, most of my knowledge in Spanish just flew away. lol!
