My dear blogger-friends, please help my daughter decide which version of her song entitled “At The Edge” is better. You can listen to it here.
She just put up her latest song, “You’re Not There.” which will be recorded next. Please listen to it and give us your feedback.

I love the default version played in the player. She has a beautiful voice. I hope she gets discovered soon
Thanks Noemi. I appreciate your comments. I hope to hear from others, too.
I prefer the original version. The new version sounds like a dance remix. The beats can be a bit distracting. I guess it depends on which audience she’s targeting. That’s my opinion.
The sneakpreview is upbeat kinda pop, while the original is soulish rock, so both sounded good. I agree with Wil, depends on which audience she’s targeting, I’d pick both.
Asteg!
Steph voice is unbelieveably beautiful, I’m strongly moved the first time I listened to her song. As for preference, I vote for the original version because it brings out the strength of her entire voice. Congrats Steph, is that sis Lexie singing the back ground voice? You’re both beautiful and talented.
You know me, I am a big fan of that very beautiful young lady. I prefer the original version because the subtlety of the background instrument(s) bring out her voice distinctively… with a lot of power and captivating strength. The original is more of her voice lest the instruments.
The other one is something that she can render in a concert. But I think she had the original as her signature style…
I can’t wait for her to be doing concerts and I can say… I know that famous singer!!! Not long now, Stef!!!
my sentiments exactly.
the remixed version may appeal more to the younger gen.
while the orig may appeal to a more mature audience.
both are good.
catchy.
and sung very well.
such talent.
sigh.
ok sa akin ito, napapaindak ako, ang ganda ng boses nya. dapat i lauch na ang album nya dito sa pinas…
English translation: this is okay to me, it got me dancing. she has a beautiful voice. you should launch her album here in the Phil.
comments from Pat sent to me via YM.
ok belle.. i’ve listened to both songs over and over. i think i have to go with the newer version. Its a tough call. Both songs sound very nice, but the newer version shows off Stephanies voice just a bit more.
@Wil, K, Elyani, NursyE, Chesca, iskoo, and Pat,
thanks for your comments. i noticed in her site that the younger ones prefer the new version. i kind of like it too because it is more edgier, bolder, and it gets you moving. can’t you tell i love to dance?
OMG. She’s VERY VERY GOOD! Her vocals are really strong and distinct. I like them!
Both versions are good. The first one if I were to pick cos it’s more upbeat.
Again, depends on the audience she wish to target. But I think first one could have more mass appeal.
I listened to all the songs. Stephanie has a beautiful and powerful voice.
Both versions of At the Edge are great. I like the new version. Stephanie’s voice is so full of life and energy with the upbeat music.
Thanks for your comment on my post regarding Trust. I listened to Stephanie’s song TRUST and it touched my heart. Beautiful lyrics and sang so perfectly.
hmmmm….I like the second version and my kids like it too! heheheh napapasayaw si ate princess:) Ate Steph idol ka ni princess!
“You’re Not There” is beautiful..her voice has a soul Belle…Stephanie is soo talented
Anyway regarding “At The Edge”…I like the original one better
but say she’s gonna make an album, she can always include the original version then the remix version…:)
Hi Belle, I like the upbeat version. When I was listening awhile ago, I couldn’t concentrate coz I’m mesmerized with her beauty. Pwede sya mag artista either in the States or here. She’s so talented and very lovely pa.
Muy bellisima. Such full and distinct voice. I can still savor it long after I have turned off the sound. It’s so hard to say which version is better — uhm maybe the upbeat one? Congrats to the mom, too!!
so, let’s tally the votes:
Noemi, K, Chesca, Pat, sesame, Rach, Dimpz, Rowena, and Annamanila prefer the remix version and that is 9 votes
while
Wil, K, elyani, nursyE, Chesca, Verns chose the more subtle version = 6 votes
So the upbeat version won! thanks my friends. I will let Stephanie know of the result. And for others who haven’t had a chance to participate, you may do so, still.
My husband wants me to play it again so he can decide for himself. He kind of like the original version but now, he isn’t sure.
Can i still vote? hehe
I like the original version. But hey, your daughter’s voice is so powerful. I like all her songs!
I hope she will become a big star one day! Good luck, Tepsie!
