A Liesurely Walk along the Lake

Lexie and I have been walking along the lake lately. We usually circle the lake two to three times; one circle is equivalent to one mile. I normally don’t take the camera when I go for a walk because the kind I have is huge and heavy, which can be a drag. This afternoon, I opted to take my camera with my sights set on photographing Lexie and some interesting scenes in the park. I have never really captured good photos of my daughter because she disliked being photographed in the past. Now, at least, she is accommodating. Hallelujah!
The lake and the park are so beautiful and are just perfect for a leisurely tranquil walk. Even the goose was having fun, and didn’t mind being snapped. I remember one time, when a goose took a fancy of my husband. The goose tried pulling my husband’s trousers as if he was trying to lead S out into the water. And every time we tried to come around or near my husband, the goose chased us away with his long neck stretched out, honking and hissing. When my husband tried to get away from him (goose) by walking around the lake, he took a short cut across the water and intercepted my husband. It was so bizarre! From that experience, Lexie made sure she kept her distance from the silly goose.
Overall, it was a lovely afternoon and I am sure we are going to have more of this walk comes this summer with my two lovely girls and my husband.

silly goose. that goose could end up on somebody’s dining table. the goose better watch out! =)
i’m sure it was a light, breezy leiusre walk around the lake. here, all that we have near my office would be a small smog-filled park surrounded by tall buildings. =P
Lexie is a good model too
.
Wow, that’s really weird for the goose going after your husband like that. So funny. Good shots Ate Belle
Wow. You are blessed to have this lake where you can do your walks with your family. Thanks for sharing the photos
they can get a bit nasty sometimes, goose
you’re daughter’s so pretty… mana ba sa Nanay?
She sure knows how to pose. She’s so pretty she could be a model. And that’s so sweet of her to go with you on a walk. I sometimes ask my kids if they want to come with me on my walks and they always say no.
Such lovely photos! It must be nice to have those kind of leisure walks. Little bit of nature, peace and quiet … great combination to relax the senses.
Lexie’s really pretty
and it’s so sweet of her to go with you.
That goose is hilarious hehe kakatakot din
Na-love at first sight yung goose?
I’m terrified of those creatures. I was chased & attacked by a flock when I was a toddler. I don’t remember what happened but Nanay told me the first time I saw a gansa & screamed for no reason.
hi daniel, thanks for gracing my site. yup, our place boosts of pollution free environment.
kk, thanks! yes, it was funny and weird for the goose to act like that. maybe, he thought he could mate or play with my husband.
Julie, one of the advantages of living away from the hustle and bustle of the city is the nice, clean and less-crowded environment.
niceheart, ganun ba? i will let her know. kasi naman yours are boys and they are not into walking. they probably would rather go fishing, hunting or boating.
pining, you mean you had your own clashes with the goose, too? mana sa nanay? just a few of my features were taken. hehehe.
rach, you are absolutely right! we try to squeeze in the walking in between our busy schedules usually in the afternoon after work and school.
verns, thanks! like you, she was afraid of camera when she was younger and she didn’t like the idea of walking. now, it is the other way around.
auee, ganun pala ang goose, they hiss and honk at you mostly for the show. that is why they tell you not to feed the geese in the park because that is what we get.
Lexie sure is pretty and is model material, and that goose is gaya gaya with lexie’s poses. the lake must be huge if it takes 1 mile to go around it. must be relaxing, no Belle? there’s nothing near to that here in manila, except perhaps the quezon memorial circle where we take walks and bike.
nice shots and great subjects too. btw, im done with the interview meme, tita belle. sorry for the delay.
beautiful indeed. the park, definitely Lexie, and even the goose
The girl and the lake are so lovely I can cry. Why doesn’t she normally want to be photographed? Modelling fatigue? too many papparazis?
Your and your husband’s genes combine splendidly.
Beautiful photos as alwas.
nice photos you got here, and Lexie is very pretty! she should be photographed more!
goose are always like that, bizarre! but in fairness to the goose, photogenic cia!
Your daughter is really pretty! Should could be a model
